Why Do GM's Feel the Need to Draft Big Men?

How many times have we seen a big 7 footer get drafted in the top 5 in the NBA and turn out to be a complete bust? The only time a big man should be drafted in the top 5 is when he is a complete freak of nature, ala Dwight Howard, or Yao Ming. RIP Steve "Air" McNair

Although I didn't know much about the guy and his life, I know he was a great ball player. I only got to watch him for a few seasons when I started getting into football, but I still knew of the greatness that was Steve McNair.
